About Me

I am the proud mother of 6 children. 5 of our children have autism. We do not feel our world has ended, but just begun. We do not chelate, intervene biochemically, give shots of any kind, practice ABA, etc. We treat them as we treat any humanbeing. We treat them with kindness and respect and expect the same from them. They are exceptional children.

ON MY HONOR.....

I gave birth to this beautiful little boy on 12/27/99.....he was my first born son and stole my heart.

He was diagnosed with severe autism on 3/20/02....the worst case they have ever seen.

With much love from his family, his teachers, his therapists and our amazing friends...this little boy is the model of a well-behaved child. He has straight A's..fully inclusioned with no more than a speech delay on his IEP... He does not even qualify for Special Education....Oh, and all without any biomedical interventions OF ANY KIND.....

I do not need to say any more...Just look.....

Since the rest of us aren't as blessed as you were to cure your kid with love, why are you opposed to us curing our kids any way we can? Do you want our children to spend their whole lives suffering?

You are very lucky he has done so well. Keep in mind, not every child progresses like this.

Biomed will not change you son a bit John, all you are doing is raging against the fact that you will get not one penny from a lawsuit blaming vaccines for your kid who got autism from you and your wife directly, obviously. Raging and trying to hurt other people isn't going to make your kid less autistic. It's time for you to appreciate the kid you have and stop abusing others and their children for your selfish reasons.

AKA Ashleigh,
Biomed has already changed my son. It's not about money. Money is just a civilized society's way of allowing a criminal to avoid being punished for their crime.

What a joy. Lucky you.[all]

You have a beautiful little man there. Congratulations!

Hi John,
We did not cure him...he improved without any need to "pull" things from his every growing and maturing body.
This little boy works very hard every day to deal with his sensory and speech issues....but work hard he does.
He loves being a Cub Scout. He is so proud and I am so very proud of him.

Congrats to him...my 7 year old (aspergers) loves being a scout too. You are very blessed.

What a sweet little scout! I believe our little ones can teach us so much, if we will stop and listen, and seek what God is trying to tell us through them. I'm always curious as to what would happen with our young autistics if we would just relax, work with them a reasonable amount, and see what strides they make without "heroic" (and expensive) alternative treatments. Anyway, blessings to you and your beautiful son!

Yet more proof that one simply cannot tell early on what a child will be like later! Autistic people grow and mature, just like anyone else. My mother thought I would never be rid of my tantrums--but I haven't had one in years!

Your son looks very spiffy in that uniform, by the way--and I think I could do a dental exam by just looking at that smile!

Thanks guys.
He has come so far...I am so proud of him.
He still struggles with some sensory issues and his speech, but boy, he tries so hard.

With a Boy Scout and a Cubby in our group it is most rewarding to see them accomplish things and happy to see the joy it gives them. Time flies, I remember when he was five on 'Makeover' or was it six? Keep up the good fight.

What a cutie! I can hardly wait for my little guy to start scouts- in a couple years. Fabulous work, everybody! And may the progress continue!!!

Even 'traditional' therapies come, most times, at a 'heroic' prce tag. I also wonder how some on the spectrum would get along without the extra attention though.

Either way, it's great to see your son moving along and becoming who he is, great stuff...scouts honor!

Hi Bill,
With our oldest, who will be 17 in February, we tried everything available to us at that time to try to get her to be un-autistic. We were told there was no cure, so we did not search for one.
It was when we realized she was not unhealthy or unhappy, that we eased up a bit.
She still has many therapies, but they are to help her become a functioning adult.
With our youngest, who is 6, we have tried to keep him safe. He is extremely hyperactive and very autistic. He is healthy, but so energetic.
We continue the many therapies on all of our children and we have been surprised by all that they have accomplished....some more than others.
I have friends with "normal" children and they are going through Rehab with a 15-year old....now that is scary.
I hope all is well with your family.

What a great picture, and a heartening message. I have a six year old who is doing so well he doesn't appear to be qualifying for special ed, either! It's been a long road; it will continue to be a long road. But the thing we've done with him from the beginning is love him as is. I get discouraged sometimes when he has socialization issues, or has a behavior day, but he's such a beautiful, sunny person! All three of my kids are a gift indeed.

You sorry loser. No way are your kids "autistic", just badly raised. You should be incredibly ashamed.

Hey Anonymous,
Get a spine and we will talk. If you will notice, most of the Anonymous comments are negative and posted by persons who are so immature, they cannot even be adult enough to confront with a real name....
My children are doing wonderful...I hope you can say the same for yours....
