About Me

I am the proud mother of 6 children. 5 of our children have autism. We do not feel our world has ended, but just begun. We do not chelate, intervene biochemically, give shots of any kind, practice ABA, etc. We treat them as we treat any humanbeing. We treat them with kindness and respect and expect the same from them. They are exceptional children.

AUTISM, LIES and MONEY...

After watching Jenny McCarthy and her crew of puppets on Larry King Live Friday night
(and a few times after that..just to make sure I was hearing them correctly)...I have come to
the conclusion of the reason for their being on television...

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY....

If you go to the website, mentioned on the show (and no, I will not mention it here)..you get
directed to a package sold by the good Dr. Kartzinel..for the incredibly low price of $219.80 +
shipping and handling (of course)...
All products followed by this disclaimer..
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

As if I would be surprised the FDA would approve anything they sold.

My problem is this...
Jenny McCarthy and Dr. Kartzinel have hit every talk show to #1..sell their book
and now #2..to sell their "supplements"...

Jenny McCarthy has stated her son is 100% recovered...100% cured...
BULLSHIT !!!!

JennyMcCarthy's son has minimal eye contact. He repeats phrases. He walks on
his tippie-toes. He attends a non-mainstream school, in his home. According to
Jenny, he is still receiving chelation (why, if he is cured?).

Jenny McCarthy has a beautiful son. That is not to be diminished.

Jenny McCarthy has a beautiful son with Autism, but to say that would stop the
sale of a lot of books and television appearances.

Our daughter Erin, 12 and our son Patrick, 9 were both diagnosed with severe autism
before their 2nd birthday.
Now, they are both PDD-NOS..they are non-distinguishable from their peers, in regular
classrooms, with neurotypical peers. They play amongst them and learn amongst them..
but, they are still Autistic.

When self-promoters like Jenny McCarthy sell the promise of cures and recovery, they
are not only lying to themselves, but to the many parents who are buying (and I mean
buying) into their bull...

I have been through all that is to be offered by the best and the worst of Autism...
we are now viewing the worst. I pray that I will not have to view her for much longer.

Ok, now this is getting ridiculous! Are you kidding me? I don't follow Jenny M. but I did want to check this out for myself and you are right!!!

First let me say as a parent who uses bio-chemical treatments, there is NO WAY I would put any thing into my child's body; A. Without doctors supervision and B. That I got on line!

If you do use the bio-chemical method you know that EVERYTHING, including the day to day vitamins (which you can get at Walmart) that your child takes must be monitored as they may interact with the other treatments. Furthermore the most important parts of the protocol, the one she claims to have "cured" her son Nystatin and Diflucan are prescription drugs that must be monitored because they are taken the wrong way can cause liver damage! So what the hell is she selling??

Is it the diet; if so go on line like everyone else, better yet go to your local library check out some books on Gf/CF..

Im going to be real with you, LET ME SAVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY!! Jenny went to a D.A.N doctor just like thousands of parents, SHE GOT THE SAME PACKET OF INFORMATION that we all got..Her sons doctor attends the SAME conferences that all the D.A.N! doctors are required to attend. She just wrote a book about it..
My advice to people who go and wast their money on this..STOP, spend the money on lab test so you can find out what wrong with YOUR CHILD..Jenny already knows whats wrong with hers, and your financing it!

Exremely well put tiffrutherf. While I would disagree with your apparent beliefs in Defeat Autism Now "protocol" (based on scientific reasons), you have some real street sense.

Read the ingredients from the immunization box the next time you trust the Dr's supervision. They are in it for the money as well.. Lets say immunizations have nothing to do with an onset of autism why in the hell would you put , antifreeze, aluminum, framaldahyde, etc.. ingredients that have been passed through chicken embreyos, passed through monkey kidneys in your child??? I did my research has nothing to do with Jenny , check out those ingredients and see if you still trust that FDA .. Tons of things have been approved to only be pulled because they are unsafe.

I don't like the sound of that one little bit.

Don't forget that Jenny is also selling some instructional videos for kids and various other crap. This woman is all about profiting from her son's supposed autism and it makes me sick. The reason this woman has to continually write books and go on show after show claiming her son is "cured" is because she is such a complete egomaniac that she could NEVER accept the fact that her son is "damaged." It would be a direct reflection on herself and she would never allow that. No matter if you are pro DAN! and pro biomed or not, bottomline Jenny is full of shit and depends on ignorant parents and their money.

If parents really want to get into the biomed ALL of this information has been available for years...long before Jenny and her traveling sideshow.

Here's a classic example of a parent who follows Jenny. I wonder if this woman gets paid by Jenny to promote her? I hope so because if she does not then this woman and her blog remind me of a teenager who is a Jenny obssessed fan. I also wonder if this woman ever thinks for herself or just waits for instructions from Jenny and company. Kind of sad and desperate if you ask me.

I have met and spent time with Jenny's son. He would never meet the criteria for autism, and is NT in every way. For you to state otherwise is simply irresponsible conjecture.

But JB some think he was never autistic to begin with. Seems he had seizures as a young child which interfered with his development and once they were brought under control with meds (as she states in her book) then his development continued on target. I'm sorry but from what she wrote in her first book, it really does not sounds like autism. Plus can she stop whoring her kid around for money. It really is a turn off even to many who believe in biomed.

I also have 3 that would seem NT to the untrained eye, yet, they are very much still labeled Autistic. When they expanded the criteria for meeting the diagnosis of autism, they included children with PDD-NOS and Aspergers.
Our 9 year old son and 12 year old daughter were both labeled severe before their 2nd birthdays. After therapies including OT, PT, Speech, and Play...they are now indistinguishable from their peers.
Unlike Jenny's child, I can say that because they attend regular education schools in regular education classrooms with Neurotypical peers.
I saw the show Jenny did with Billy Bush and she presented his classroom, which is in his house, and he is the only student.

Evan is home schooled because she claims that if he gets sick (I assume from being exposed to germs at school) and gets a fever he will have seizures. Um, I am sure this is the case with many kids who are prone to seizures but they don't just sit home. Does she think that he couldn't catch germs from other places, not just a school? Is he allowed to go to the store, a park, anywhere??? If this is her logic, it is odd.

I think Jenny just wants to keep him as hidden as possible. Notice she carefully controls what clips are seen of Evan when she promotes him on shows like Larry King.

I also know many autistic kids who are indistinguishable from their peers and most of them never even did any biomed so for Jenny to say this is the only way to "recover" kids once again she proves that she doesn't know what the hell she is talking about. I think it's a good way for the no talent woman to make money.

No one does "irresponsible conjecture" better than JB Handley!

I am no more inclined to pay attention to anything JB Handley says than I am to the infamous Dr Goebells.

Dr Goebells was not stupid, he knew that if you tell the same lie often enough it will be believed never mind the evidence to the contrary.

No amount of money can by a cure, but it can buy advertising.

I am curious why Jenny only blames the toxins in vaccines for her son's autism. What about the chemicals Evan was exposed to in utero. Jenny continued to seriously bleach her hair like someone from the 1960's(looking at pictures from her Belly Laughs book), she smoked and who knows what the status of Botox was and what other "toxins" she was putting into her system at that time. I think Jenny just needs to blame everyone and everything else.

I'm with Maddy on this one!! She summed it up perfectly!
I just want to make it clear, Jenny does not speak for this bio-med Mom..

There have been times lately that I have said that I can not wait for her son to write a "tell all" book. This is very serious indeed. Yes, she is making big bucks at the expense of lives. What I ponder is- what can we do about it?
It would appear that many people would rather listen to a celebrity than to even their own doctors. It is almost like we are being taught Not to trust doctors-not to trust science etc. Where has common sense gone-where is responsibility? Why does it seem that they were voted off the island?

who isn't out for a buck or at least some sort of agenda.. it's the way of this world. Myself and my son take our AS day by day. We're not perfect but we are who we are... neither of us(yes it's his choice too) have ever felt a need for treatment as of yet. Sure there are rough days and even days being like 'them' would feel nice and comfy, but such is life.

Anonymous said...

adding to the last comment.. there are those like my son and myself who don't buy into all these offers of treatments and advices for cures.. there are those who do. McCarthy and many many scientists and physicians are offering to the latter.

Jenny. She is The Scary.

What's with all the hostility toward Jenny Mccarthy? She wants her son better, just like most 'autism parents' want for their children.

More power to her, and to ALL parents who are committed to their children's wholeness.

McCarthy needlessly scares parents about vaccines and the nature of autism. She misrepresents vaccine ingredients, and tells parents that autism can be cured when there is no known cure.

Hope that helps, S-R.

sun~rose,
I hate the fact that you refer to children with autism being "un-whole" and we have to make them "whole".
My children are "whole". They have never been missing...no one stole them from us...their souls are intact..
Jenny McCarthy is thankfully fading out fast.
She is not being taken seriously by anyone anymore, and the few fans she has left are getting some sense.

I am so glad to have found your blog! I whole heartedly agree. We have five beautiful children and our oldest is Autistic. We are constantly being "encouraged" to treat him and try and cure him. He doesn't need curing. He needs to be loved, guided, and directed like all of my other unique children. I am tired of the fads. I am tired of the blame game. Show me facts and I'll look into but show me your "ideas" and I'll treat it just as that - an idea.
