About Me

I am the proud mother of 6 children. 5 of our children have autism. We do not feel our world has ended, but just begun. We do not chelate, intervene biochemically, give shots of any kind, practice ABA, etc. We treat them as we treat any humanbeing. We treat them with kindness and respect and expect the same from them. They are exceptional children.

ANGELS IN FLIGHT......

As I was returning home yesterday, after an amazing experience in Seattle, which I love, btw....I was given another "Angel" moment.
You see, I truly believe God has placed his Angels around us to guide us when we might not be feeling exactly the way we should...too depressed, too big-headed, too secure in ourselves, etc.
My plane coming into Denver was really late. I was 5 minutes late from my departure time on the flight from Denver to Austin. I ran around the corner and to my next flight. Luckily, the Denver to Austin flight was late also.
I caught my breath and then called home. I was so excited to be going home, yet so sad to be leaving some wonderful new people I had met.
I boarded the plane and was getting into my seat...1D...easy to find, ya think? I look down and there sits the most beautiful yellow lab, who happened to be a guide dog.
I glance over to see the person who owns the dog, thinking I would find an elderly gentleman or woman...but, to my surprise, sat the most beautiful 20-something young woman. She was stunning.
I asked if she was the trainer of the dog, since she did not look visually impaired to me...she told me it was her guide dog. I then ask, "Are you visually impaired"? She said, "yes"... I apologized for being so blunt, but I wanted to get to her story, it's the Gladys Kravitz in me....
This amazing young woman told me at the age of 12, she began experiencing painful migraines. After many doctor appoinments, her mother took her to have her eyes checked. There, they found a brain tumor. The doctors thought it was behind her eye, but when they went in, it was not fully operable. They left part of the tumor behind, and with that, scratched her eye and left her 80% blind.
She then said, "I truly am blessed, I just lost my sight, not my life".
I told her about my children and Autism...she happened to work with Autistic children while she was in Hawaii growing up. I then told her about our blessing of our Extreme Makeover. She remembered the show. I told her about Trusera and the fact that she is the prime reason we need an on-line site like Trusera, where people could get inspiration from extraordinary people such as herself.
This beautiful young woman and myself talked for the entire 2 hour and 5 minute flight. She was intelligent, thoughtful, joyful, and inspiring. She is thankful to be alive from an illness that should have ended her life 12 years ago. She doesn't look at what losing her sight took away from her, but what losing her sight gave her.
After we landed, she told me how she believes God puts you in the right places.....She is so correct, but, not for the reason she believes. God put her there for ME!!!!!

You always have to bring up the Extreme Makeover show HUH. That is the biggest thing in your life, how sad. Did you tell her you are making your husband work 2 jobs to pay the taxes and other things just to keep the FREE house? Did big Pharma pay for your first class plane ticket?

Daniel,
You are truly pathetic. The biggest thing in my life is my family. The greatest joy I have are my husband and my children.
My coach ticket was paid for....
but not by "Big Pharma"...that is more of the propaganda that you like to spew.
You think you are more clever than me....that is a shame.
All you are showing is how really un-smart you truly are...and gullible.

This blog is about a young woman, not about me. Every day we are given the opportunity to be touched by people who are much more than we are...she is one of those people.
Please don't demean her by taking away from my post...on MY blog.
Bash me on your own blog.

It would have been fine if you only talked about her, but you had to bring up your great accomplishment about the show. I hate that there is even one post about you on my blog, I would never dare put another. You don't deserve the fame.

Daniel,
I talk about life...my life with my family and my experiences.
I am not sticking my hand out for a handout for someone to pay for something that I find could be really harmful later down the line.
I think what you are doing is inexcusable and should not be allowed...and that is why it is not allowed in the USA.
My children ARE NOT guineau pigs.

And the ONLY reason I am on your blog is that you and your wife felt the need to do so...not my idea.
My blog, my ideas, my thoughts.
Your blog will never have a comment from me. Because I disagree with you and your wife on how you "treat" your child's Autism does not give me the right to infiltrate your blog with negative comments about you.
Too bad you and your "ilk" don't follow the same courtesy. But, I really don't believe COURTEOUS is in you guy's dictionary (psst...that is a book that teaches you how to spell a word and pronounce it correctly..FYI).

You are a very petty person who attacked us first. You drew us into this.

Don't worry your comments would never be posted to my blog...I have a rule not to let ignorant people post on our blog.

History will look back on our family as pioneers in paving the way of Adult Stem Cells for Autism.

You can't have your hand out, because it so full from getting a free house and all that money.

Why don't you tell people that you don't vaccinate your children anymore, because one was injured due to vaccination?

You are such a hyprocrite.

Please only comment on this post about this story.
This young woman was so extraordinary that I do not want to take away from her.
Daniel, please respect this....

I have to say that I loved your story about this woman, you do meet the most interesting people while cooped up for so long!

As for the earlier posts (I know you said only to comment on the story, but this has really been bothering me) does everyone have to act like petty schoolchildren? This Daniel character seems to be so upset and angry with life that the only outlet he has is to negatively comment on these blogs. And what he doesn't realize is how much of a downer he is on my day. I love these posts because they proved yet another prospective on my day and that is something I like to surround myself with-options, choices. He comments in nearly every post that these postings will never be allowed on his page. Well, then stay off here. Please. For all of our sakes. And grow up and act like a respectable adult. I was taught at a young age "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

I am amazed that you know so much about Jeanette. Jealousy does not become you. You need to get your information correct or OMG someone might call you a liar.

I need to apologize to foresam, as I asked him never to call me a coward again, I reread the posting that did that and found it was in fact Daniel, not foresame. I apologize.

Daniel,

I was talking about your comments on Husband's jobs, Pharma, and comments you have made on other blogs of Jeanettes. Why would you continue to bring up her house if not for jealousy? Her home is part of her life experience and you bashing her for it is not productive or very becoming of a person who allegdes he wants to help the world fight autism. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that if you tell something that is untrue or alledge something that is untrue that it is a lie. I wish only the best for you and your child. I work with special needs children and the love and blessings they bring in my life make me a truly wealthy woman. Jeanette's beautiful children have been included in this group for years before I even knew her.

Peace and Happiness be with you Daniel and may love follow you on your life path.

(Why would you continue to bring up her house if not for jealousy?)because she has the nerve to look down on me for having a donate paypal button on my blog, when she is taking a free house, money, and cars. She is a hypocrite and that is the only reason why I bring it up. If she wasn't bash my family for no reason, I would be very happy for her!!! She sought my family out, I had no problem with her before this and didn't even know who she was.

(Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that if you tell something that is untrue or alledge something that is untrue that it is a lie.) Please show me where I did that and I will correct it!!!

(eace and Happiness be with you Daniel and may love follow you on your life path.) Thank you, your family as well and Jeanette family too!!!

Last Comment on this I promise.
Jeanette's husband works one regular job and a second job being an umpire. He loves being out there with his soft ball buddies and he takes some of the kids out with him. They all have fun and Dad gets a little estra cash. So the comment about working to pay the taxes not so true. We all work to pay taxes. Let rise above the house comments.

Jeanette has never recied a dime from Pharma nor a first class plane ticket.

Finally Daniel, I have been reading about you and your family to get a feel for who you are and I am sure if we met and talked overdinner or coffee, we would all have a lot in common. Your son is beautiful and you obviously adore him. Good luck and keep being a loving father.

Thank you Brenda, I think we would as well. Look us up if you are ever in Orlando FL.

I watch the full extreme make-over show on youtube last night and I found myself cheering for Jeanette and her family.

I wish you all well.
